ARLINGTON—Utah Valley redshirt sophomore forward Jackson Holcombe has been named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week after leading the Wolverines to a strong two-game road stretch.

Holcombe averaged 18.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists over two games while shooting 63.2 percent from the field and 66.7 percent at the free throw line. He opened the week with 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists at San Diego State, marking his fourth double-double of the season.

The Charleston, South Carolina native, who prepped at Timpanogos High School, followed with 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in Utah Valley's 82–71 win at Bowling Green. He finished the week 12-of-19 from the field and 12-of-18 at the foul line while averaging 33.4 minutes per contest.

Holcombe ranks among the team leaders in scoring, rebounding, assists and field goal percentage and has now recorded double figures in every game this season. This is his first career WAC Player of the Week honor.

Utah Valley returns to action on Wednesday night when the Wolverines host Big Sky foe Idaho State at the UCCU Center. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. MT.
