OREM – Four former Utah Valley University women's soccer standouts have signed professional contracts, continuing their careers at the next level. Heather Stainbrook  remains with the Washington Spirit, Idalia Serrano  enters her second season with AS Volos (Greece), Jaylyn Wright has signed with Vancouver Rise FC, and Amber Tripp  is currently on trial with the Tampa Bay Sun.

"It is very exciting to watch the continued success of our alumni now playing at the professional ranks all across the globe," said Utah Valley head coach Chris Lemay. "We continue to attract recruits that have desires to play at the next level and we pride ourselves on creating an environment to allow for them to realize those goals."

Heather Stainbrook – Washington Spirit (NWSL)
Stainbrook, who played at UVU from 2019-23, enters her second season with the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) following a successful rookie campaign in 2024. She worked her way into the starting lineup and helped the Spirit reach the NWSL Cup championship match. Stainbrook appeared in 11 regular-season matches, starting four, and made her professional debut on May 1 against Chicago. She scored her first career goal, the game-winner, in the team's final regular-season home match against Chicago. In the playoffs, she started both the quarterfinal and semifinal matches en route to the championship game.

At UVU, Stainbrook led the Wolverines to two WAC regular-season championships, one WAC Tournament title, and two NCAA Tournament appearances. She played a pivotal role in the program's first NCAA Tournament victory, a first-round win over No. 25 Memphis in 2020. Stainbrook was a three-time First Team All-WAC selection, UVU's first-ever First Team All-Region honoree (2022), and a three-time All-Region selection. Academically, she became UVU's first women's soccer player to earn Academic All-America® honors and was a two-time United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America selection.

Idalia Serrano – AS Volos (Greek First League)
Serrano, a Mendota, California, native, enters her second season with AS Volos 2004, a Greek First League club based in Volos, Greece. She earned a starting goalkeeper role and played a key part in the team's successful 2024 season, even recording an assist.

At UVU, Serrano played 14 matches in 2022, helping the Wolverines secure a WAC regular-season title and their first-ever NCAA Tournament at-large bid. She totaled 43 saves, three shutouts, and a 1.53 goals-against average in her two seasons at UVU. Serrano also represents the El Salvador Senior Women's National Team and was recently called up for the W Gold Cup in September.

Jaylyn Wright – Vancouver Rise FC (Northern Super League)
Wright has signed with Vancouver Rise FC, one of the six founding clubs in the newly established Northern Super League (NSL), Canada's professional women's soccer league set to launch in spring 2025. The NSL aims to advance Canadian soccer through excellence, equity, and inclusion.

Wright played at UVU from 2023-24, appearing in 31 matches with 15 starts, including 13 in her final season. She helped UVU secure back-to-back WAC regular-season championships, contributing to 22 wins and 12 shutouts during her tenure. In 2024, she played a key defensive role in UVU's third consecutive WAC regular-season title, with the team finishing 6-0-1 in conference play and 12-5-2 overall.

Amber Tripp – Tampa Bay Sun (USL Super League)
Tripp, who played at UVU from 2017-21, is currently on trial with the Tampa Bay Sun of the USL Super League. Previously, she won a Serbian league championship with ŽFK Spartak Subotica before signing with AC Sparta Praha Ženy in the Czech Republic, where she competed in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

She led UVU to two WAC Tournament championships (2017, 2020), the program's first-ever WAC regular-season title (2020), and two NCAA Tournament appearances, including its first-ever NCAA Tournament win (2020).

A three-time First Team All-WAC honoree and two-time All-Region selection, Tripp also earned WAC Freshman of the Year honors in 2017 and was a four-time Academic All-WAC award winner.

These four former Wolverines continue to make an impact in the professional ranks, representing Utah Valley on the global stage. Their success is a testament to UVU's commitment to player development and preparing athletes for the next level.
