POCATELLO, Idaho — Ella Hopper followed up her win in the 200 on Friday with a first-place finish and a school record (54.29) in the women's 400-meter finals on Saturday at the Mountain States Games at Idaho State University.

The Wolverines also had first-place finishes from Caila Odekirk (mile) Gabe Remy (60m), Kade Thompson (200m), and Caleb Washington (triple jump). Whitney Fisher, Kali McEuen, Hopper, and Talia Conrad also won the women's 4x400 relay in 3:47.22, good enough for third on the all-time top 10 at UVU.

Odekirk was just 16/100ths of one second off of her personal record in the mile, finishing just in front of teammates Allie Warner, Oakley Olson, and Anna Martin. Liz Zwahlen and Elisabeth Ferrell also finished eighth and ninth, respectively. Warner's adjusted time of 4:48.42 puts her at No. 4 in UVU's Top 10 in the mile.

After winning the long jump with a PR on Friday, Washington notched a first-place finish in the triple jump while recording the fifth-best mark (14.24m) in UVU's Top 10 on Saturday.

In addition to Remy's time of 6.78 seconds landing him atop the men's 60-meter podium, he also took third in the 200, with Thompson winning that event in 22.01 seconds and also finishing second, behind Remy, in the 60. Gunner Stepp was third (6.88) and Zoom Sands finished fourth (6.92) in the 60, and Cameron Franklin was fourth in the 200 (22.48).

Trevor Hill had another PR in the weight throw and moved up to No. 6 in the top 10 with his 16.75-meter throw. Andrew Turner and Luis Diaz Bojorquez also had personal records that landed them top 10 spots. Turner's best throw of 16.48 puts him at seventh and Bojorquez' mark of 16.02 lands him at No. 10.

Also, recording a PR that reached the Top 10 at UVU was Wyatt Mortenson, who finished seventh in the men's 3,000-meters with an adjusted time of 8:17.40 to put him 10th at UVU.

Mo Guled, who set the men's indoor 5,000-meter record on Friday, joined Abdulsalam Farah in the mile at Washington's Husky Classic in Seattle. Guled was 37th in the race and just off his school record time of 4:05.24; he finished Saturday's mile in 4:06.41. Farah finished 61st in the field of over 100 runners, with a time of 4:07.13.

This week was the final meet on the schedule prior to the WAC Indoor Championships, which will be held Feb. 28-March 1 at the Podium in Spokane, Washington.
