OREM, Utah – Utah Valley wraps up its home slate this season as it hosts in-state rival Southern Utah on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the UCCU Center. The Wolverines (20-7, 12-1 WAC) enter the contest riding a five-game win streak and are looking to remain undefeated at home for the first time in program history.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Michael Goodkind and Josh Kallunki on the call, while Jim McCulloch and Brice Larson will provide radio coverage on the Wolverine Sports Network (ESPN 960 AM/103.9 FM in Utah County, 98.3 FM/105.1 HD2 in Salt Lake City).
Wolverines Streaking Once Again
Utah Valley extended its winning streak to five games with a 61-55 victory over Seattle U last Saturday on Homecoming at the UCCU Center.
Osiris Grady led the way with a career-high 17 points, shooting 4-of-5 from the field, 3-of-3 from beyond the arc, and 6-of-6 at the free-throw line. UVU overcame a seven-point deficit in the final minutes, using an 11-3 run to secure the win.
The Wolverines have won 15 of their last 16 games, a stretch that included a 10-game win streak from Dec. 18 to Feb. 1. During this latest streak, UVU has picked up two thrilling two-point road wins over in-state opponents, defeating Southern Utah 70-68 in Cedar City and Utah Tech 79-77 in overtime. The Wolverines also collected dominant home victories over UT Arlington (94-73) and Tarleton State (81-56) before edging Seattle U.
Home Perfection on the Line
Utah Valley is one of just eight teams in the nation that remain undefeated at home this season and holds the 11th-longest active home win streak in the country. The Wolverines have been dominant at the UCCU Center, boasting an 11-0 record while outscoring opponents by an average of 21.8 points per game.
UVU has shot 51.0% from the field and 41.4% from three at home, averaging 83.9 points per contest. The Wolverines have also controlled the glass, outrebounding opponents 39.9 to 31.1 per game, and have been one of the nation's best rim-protecting teams, averaging 7.7 blocks per game at home.
A win over Southern Utah on Saturday would mark the first undefeated home season in program history, as UVU looks to complete a perfect 12-0 record at the UCCU Center.
Series History vs. Southern Utah
Saturday's matchup marks the 16th all-time meeting between Utah Valley and Southern Utah. UVU leads the series 8-7after securing a 70-68 victory in Cedar City on Feb. 15. The Wolverines have now won four straight over the Thunderbirds, including last season's 80-62 home win and 78-75 road victory in 2024.

Utah Valley has steadily climbed in the NCAA NET Rankings, now sitting at No. 121 as of Feb. 27. The Wolverines have also received votes in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 poll, collecting 79 votes this week—up from 53 votes last week.
