Huddleston Leads Bandon Dunes Championship; Wolverines in Fourth

BANDON, Ore. – Utah Valley sophomore Dane Huddleston continues to lead the field at the Bandon Dunes Championship after carding a 3-under-par 68 in Monday's second round at Bandon Trails. Huddleston remains in first place with a two-round total of 7-under-par 135 (67-68), holding a four-shot lead over Oregon's Greyson Leach (-3) and five strokes ahead of Boise State's Gavyn Knight (-2).

Huddleston's round featured five birdies, including a stretch of three consecutive birdies on holes 14-17 on the back nine, along with 11 pars.

As a team, Utah Valley dropped one spot to fourth in the 16-team field after shooting a 9-over-par 293. The Wolverines sit at 24-over-par 592 (299-293), just 12 strokes back of two-round leader Oregon (+12).

Paxton Maxwell climbed five spots on the leaderboard after shooting a 2-over-par 73 in round two. He is now tied for 16th at 6-over-par 148 (75-73) with three birdies on the day. Ryan Seamons carded a 4-over-par 75 and is tied for 42nd at 11-over-par 153 (78-75), tallying four birdies in round two.

Clement Lepine sits in a tie for 53rd at 14-over-par 156 (79-77) after shooting a 6-over-par 77 in round two, while Zachary Erskine is tied for 78th at 19-over-par 161 (83-78) following a second-round 78.

Playing as an individual, Ethan Efford made a significant jump up the leaderboard, moving up 35 spots after an impressive 1-under-par 70 in round two. He is now tied for 62nd at 15-over-par 157 (87-70), recording three birdies and 13 pars on Monday.

Utah Valley will wrap up play at the Bandon Dunes Championship on Tuesday with the final 18-hole round, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
