3/4/2025 12:55:00 PM

OREM – Utah Valley hits the road for its final week of the regular season, beginning with a Thursday night matchup at Abilene Christian. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. MT at Moody Coliseum in Abilene, Texas. The Wolverines (21-7, 13-1 WAC) enter the game riding a six-game winning streak and holding a one-game lead atop the WAC standings with two games remaining.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Grant Boone and Ron Holmes on the call, while Jim McCulloch and Brice Larson will provide radio coverage on the Wolverine Sports Network (ESPN 960 AM/103.9 FM in Utah County, 98.3 FM/101.5 HD2 in Salt Lake City).

Wolverines Stay Hot

Utah Valley extended its winning streak to six games with a dominant 100-59 win over Southern Utah on Saturday at the UCCU Center. The victory capped a perfect 12-0 home season, the first undefeated home season in program history. Dominick Nelson and Tanner Toolson each scored 17 points to lead a balanced offensive effort, while UVU shot 60% from the field and held SUU to just 34.4% shooting.

The Wolverines have now won 16 of their last 17 games, a stretch that included a 10-game win streak from Dec. 18 to Feb. 1. During this latest streak, UVU has picked up two thrilling two-point road wins over in-state opponents, winning 70-68 at Southern Utah and 79-77 in overtime at Utah Tech, while also securing dominant home victories over UT Arlington, Tarleton State, and Seattle U.

Chasing a Championship

Utah Valley controls its own destiny in the WAC title race, needing wins at Abilene Christian and Tarleton State to clinch the outright regular season championship and the No. 1 seed at next week's WAC Tournament in Las Vegas (assuming Grand Canyon wins both of its games this week). One win this week secures UVU a share of the WAC crown. The team has locked up no worse than the No. 2 seed.
