OREM, Utah — Utah Valley's Dane Huddleston has been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Golfer of the Week after earning a third-place individual finish at the UCSB Gaucho Invitational this week at Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, California. It marks the third time this season that Huddleston has earned WAC Golfer of the Week honors.

Huddleston carded rounds of 68, 70, and 71 for a three-round total of 7-under-par 209, finishing just two strokes behind the tournament winner. His performance helped lead Utah Valley to a third-place team finish in the 11-team field.

This marks Huddleston's sixth top-three finish of the 2024-25 season, which includes four individual victories and two third-place finishes.

"We weren't sharp as a team this week, but Dane had another great performance," said UVU head coach Chris Curran. "He continues to be a steady force at the top of our lineup."

Huddleston and the Wolverines will now shift their focus to the 2025 WAC Championship, set for April 25-27 at Chaparral Pines Golf Club in Payson, Arizona.
