SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Valley sprinter Gabe Remy took first place in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes on Saturday at the Utah Spring Classic, with personal records and top 10 marks in both races for the sophomore. The Wolverines also had first-place finishes in the women's 800, women's heptathlon, men's triple jump, and men's pole vault.

Jennaveve Bingham won the women's 800-meter race in 2:12.73. Her altitude-adjusted time of 2:12.03 puts her at No. 5 in the UVU record book. On the men's side in the 800, Isaiah Archer also set a PR and top-10 time, with his converted time of 1:51.82 landing at eighth in the top 10 and second in the race.

Krista Farley took first place in the women's heptathlon, which got underway on Friday before finishing up on Saturday. Farley was first in the long jump and second in the 200. Talia Conrad took third in the heptathlon and was second place in both the long jump and the javelin.

Porter Westerlind won the men's pole vault, hitting 4.95 meters on the first attempt to take first after three others also hit the mark but not on their first attempts. In the women's pole vault, Emily Conlin and Grace Williams both hit 3.65 meters. Conlin's mark was a PR that improves on the No. 7 mark and landed her in third at the meet. Williams took fourth place.

Benati Louvouezo took first place in the men's triple jump, hitting 14.10 meters. On the women's side, Taygin DeHart took second in the triple jump at 10.94 meters, just off her PR of 10.99 meters.

Karsten Deakin improved on her No. 7 spot in the women's shot put, hitting 13.55 meters and giving the Wolverines six personal bests that disrupted the UVU Top 10.

Next week, Utah Valley will send competitors at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific, and the Pacific Coast and Beach Invitationals at Long Beach State.
