MANHEIM, Pa. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the 2025 NCAA D1 Men's Team Scholar All-American awards on Thursday morning. Utah Valley finished with the fifth-best team GPA at 3.579. It's the first time since 2019-2020 that UVU has earned the recognition.
"What a way to cap off Year One of this new era of UVU Wrestling! Finishing with a top-five team GPA in the nation speaks volumes—not just to the dedication of our student-athletes, but also to the unwavering support and commitment of our staff," said UVU head coach
Adam Hall.
Hall continued, "A special shoutout to our academic advisor, Paige Johnson, and our head assistant coach,
Timmy McCall. Their guidance and accountability have been instrumental in helping our athletes succeed in the classroom."
Last week, the NWCA named
Terrell Barraclough,
Jack Forbes,
Ryker Fullmer,
Smokey McClure, and
Bridger Ricks Scholar All-Americans. The award combines accomplishments on the mat and in the classroom.
California Baptist finished with the highest team GPA and was followed by Cleveland State, Arkansas Little Rock, and Harvard.
