SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Dane Huddleston shot a final-round 1-under-par 71 on Tuesday at Sandpiper Golf Club to finish third individually at the UCSB Gaucho Invitational with a three-round score of 7-under-par 209 (68-70-71). The result marks Huddleston's sixth top-three finish this season.

As a team, Utah Valley carded a final-round 1-over-par 289 to secure third place on the 11-team leaderboard with a 54-hole total of even-par 864 (290-285-289). Boise State captured the team title at 23-under-par 841, followed by Denver in second at 2-under-par 862.

Huddleston recorded three birdies and 13 pars in Tuesday's final round, finishing just two strokes behind medalist Luke Cushman (-9) and one stroke behind runner-up Cole Rueck (-8), both from Boise State. Huddleston now has four individual wins and two third-place finishes on the year.

"We weren't sharp this week," said Utah Valley head coach Chris Curran. "Too many bogeys with short irons in our hands. Dane had another great week. We have some time to correct things before conference."

Ethan Efford finished in a tie for 21st after a final-round 3-over-par 75, posting a three-round score of 3-over-par 219 (74-70-75). Efford had four birdies in his round on Tuesday.

Paxton Maxwell carded an even-par 72 on Tuesday, tying for 29th at 4-over-par 220 (75-73-72). Maxwell's final round included five birdies, four of which came on the front nine.

Ryan Seamons shot an even-par 72 in the final round to finish tied for 45th at 9-over-par 225 (73-80-72). Seamons tallied three birdies in Tuesday's round.

Andrew Hawk closed the tournament with a 2-over-par 74, also tying for 45th at 9-over-par 225 (79-72-74). Hawk recorded two birdies on the back nine in his final round.

Utah Valley now prepares for the 2025 WAC Championship, scheduled for April 25-27 at Chaparral Pines Golf Club in Payson, Arizona.
