To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher, either cumulative or the two previous semesters, and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.
Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
"I am proud of our All-Big 12 Honorees. They are men who represented our program well, both on and off the mat. I look forward to our program adding to our six honorees next year," said UVU head coach
Adam Hall.
Barraclough earned his first selection after spending one season in Orem. He was selected by the Big 12 Wrestling Coaches as the Scholar-Athlete of the Year while working though UVU's Master of Business Administration program through the Woodbury School of Business.
It is the third consecutive season that Forbes, who is studying Chemistry, earned a 4.00 GPA and a spot on the Academic All-Big 12. It also marks the second straight season that UVU has had two more student-athletes achieve a perfect GPA.

Kase Mauger earned his third award, and
Mark Takara was honored for the first time in his career.
