MARICOPA, Ariz.—Â
Clement Lepine carded a 1-under-par 71 in Sunday's final round to finish tied for seventh at the National Golf Invitational presented by Golfweek, leading Utah Valley University to a ninth-place team finish at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Course.
"We closed out the year with our best round of the week, and I'm proud of how the guys responded," said head coach
Chris Curran. "Clem had a great tournament and has been a steady leader for us all spring. This was a great experience for our group, and it gives us a solid foundation to build on heading into next season."
Lepine's final-round 71 included three birdies and 13 pars, bringing his three-round total to 5-under-par 211 (66-74-71). The top-10 finish marks his third of the season.
Utah Valley posted a 1-under-par 287 in the final round—its best round of the tournament—to finish ninth on the 10-team leaderboard with a three-round total of 7-over-par 871 (289-295-287). Ohio State claimed the team title at 26-under-par 838.
Zachary Erskine also turned in a strong final round, shooting a 1-over-par 73 to move up four spots and finish in a tie for 21st at 1-over-par 217 (71-75-71). He tallied three birdies and 13 pars on Sunday.
Paxton Maxwell recorded a 1-under-par 71 to move up three spots and place 34th overall with a three-round score of 4-over-par 220 (77-72-71).
Isaiah Ellis carded a 2-over-par 74 in the final round and tied for 38th at 7-over-par 223 (75-74-74), while
Andrew Hawk posted a 4-over-par 76 to finish 49th at 15-over-par 231 (80-75-76).
The tournament concludes the 2024–25 season for the Wolverines.
