T&F Regionals begin Wednesday in College Station

OREM, Utah — The 2025 NCAA West Preliminary Rounds are set to begin on Wednesday at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas, with six Utah Valley University men competing on the opening day. The Wolverines will send a school record 15 student-athletes to the regional this year. 

Results and live video links are available via GoUVU.com, with the broadcast on ESPN+ beginning at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday and Thursday, and 5 p.m. CT on Friday and Saturday.

Noah Peterson will be the first Wolverine to compete, with the pole vault slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. CT. The men's 1500-meter heats, with Alex Hartshorn competing, will start at 6:30 p.m. and precede Gabe Remy and Kade Thompson in the 100-meter first round at 7 p.m. Cameron Franklin will compete in the 400, slated for a 7:25 p.m. start, and Mo Guled will close out the opening day of competition in the 10,000-meter national semifinal race at 9:10 p.m.

Peterson and Guled will be vying for their spots in Eugene at Nationals in their events on Wednesday, while the remaining four look to advance to the national quarterfinals on Friday.

The women begin competing on Thursday, with Kelsi Oldroyd throwing the javelin beginning at 2:30 p.m. Things get underway on the track at 6 p.m. with Quincy Bonds and Kali McEuen running in the 100-meter hurdles in the first rounds. McEuen will also compete at 8:20 p.m. in the 400-meter hurdles alongside Ella Hopper. The sprinters are aiming to advance to Saturday's quarterfinals. Closing out night one of the women's meet will be Anna Martin in the 10,000 at 9:10 p.m.

On Friday, the men will conclude their portion of the regional, with the two-time defending WAC Champion 4x100 relay squad starting off the day at 5 p.m. CT. Gavin Stafford will join Franklin, Thompson, and Remy. Also scheduled to compete will be Abdulsalam Farah in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, which begins at 5:40 p.m. Hartshorn (1500), Remy (100m, 200m), Thompson (100m), and Franklin (400m) could all be in action as well, pending their qualification from Wednesday's first rounds.

Oakley Olson will compete in the women's steeplechase on Saturday at 5:40 p.m. and Caila Odekirk turn in the 5,000 will start at 8:10 p.m. Bonds (100mH), McEuen (100mh, 400mH), and Hopper (400mH) will compete on Saturday as well if they advance past the first round on Thursday.

The 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled for June 11-14 in Eugene, Oregon.
