OREM, Utah – Utah Valley women's basketball coach Dan Nielson has announced the return of Sophie Albano-Alisberg as the program's director of operations. She previously served in the same role during the 2023-24 season.

"I'm thrilled to be able to bring Sophie back into the Wolverine family," Nielson said. "She brings so much experience to our program, and we're excited to have her back helping us run as efficiently as possible. We love her positivity and energy and are ready to hit the ground running."

Albano-Alisberg previously worked as a team attendant for the NBA during the bubble before moving to the league offices in Secaucus, New Jersey, as a statistical auditor. She also worked in the college ranks at Brown University as operations coordinator.

She graduated from High Point University in 2017 with a degree in human relations and a minor in sports management. While at High Point, she was head team manager for the basketball program from 2013 to 2017.

During the summers of 2016 and 2017, she served as support staff for USA Basketball in Colorado Springs, working team trials for the U16-U19 teams.
