OREM, Utah – Utah Valley women's volleyball closes out non-conference play with two matches this week, starting on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6:00 p.m. MT at Swenson Gym in Ogden before hosting No. 16 BYU on Saturday, Sept. 2,0, at 3:00 p.m. MT inside the UCCU Center.

Both matches this week will be streamed on ESPN+. Matt Baiamonte and Kayli Doxey will have the call of Saturday's contest. Weberstatesports.com will have live stats available for Thursday's match, and UVUstats.com will be available for Saturday's game.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines started the week with a five-set loss to in-state rival Utah State on Tuesday night inside the UCCU Center.
Avery Page matched a season-high with 19 kills. Idaho transfer,
Olivia Gloeckner, had a UVU career-high with 11 kills while adding six blocks in the match.
Sami Blackett added 11 kills and two aces for UVU in the match.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
The Wildcats are off to one of the best starts in program history with an 8-2 record. Their only losses have come to No. 16 BYU and UVU's WAC rival, Utah Tech. Rose Moore and Ashley Gneiting lead the offensive attack for WSU, and both average over 3.00 kills per set on an offense that averages over 12 kills per set. Weber State currently averages 2.25 blocks per set with Brielle Rueckert, who has 36 total blocks this season.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
BYU is ranked No. 16 this season and enters this week with a 10-0 record. They are led by Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year Claire Little Chambers, who has 138 kills this season, with freshman Suli Davis close behind at 136 kills. Both average over 4.00 kills per set this season. The Cougars are limiting opposing teams to a .154 hitting percentage this season.

The Wolverines will open WAC play on Thursday, Sept. 25, against Abilene Christian in a match that will be played at Westminster in Salt Lake City at 7:00 p.m. MT. UVU will then host Tarleton State on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 6:00 p.m. MT inside Smith Fieldhouse in Provo.
