Utah Valley (4-4-1) returns to Orem after a three-match road swing that featured a 4–3 comeback win at Weber State sandwiched between a 2–0 setback at No. 12 BYU and a 2–0 loss at Utah State to close nonconference play. The Wolverines enter league play ranked No. 2 in the United Soccer Coaches Pacific Region Top-10. Through nine matches, Ruby Hladek (5g, 5a) leads UVU in points, Faith Webber has four goals and three assists with a team-best 38 shots and two game-winners, and goalkeeper Leah Wolf has played every minute with 49 saves.

WAC Opener & Streaks
As conference play begins, UVU carries a dominant résumé: no WAC regular-season losses since Oct. 8, 2022 (1,083 days as of Sept. 25) and a 22-1-4 league mark over the past three seasons, including an unbeaten 6-0-1 slate with a 35–3 goal differential in 2024. At home, the Wolverines' last WAC regular-season defeat was a 2–1 setback to California Baptist on March 11, 2020; since joining the WAC in 2013, UVU has dropped only nine home league matches. Under head coach Chris Lemay, the program is 52-14-9 in WAC regular-season contests.

Scouting Tarleton State
Tarleton State (6-2-2) arrives off a record-setting 9–0 win over Schreiner that capped the best nonconference start in program history. The Texans have been balanced and prolific—27 goals in 10 matches—led by senior forward Stevie Reynolds (9g, 4a, 3 GWG) with support from Jaycie Bass (3g, 3a), Reegan Wagg (3g), Avery Harr (3g), and Gabrielle Williams (3g). Creator Sammy Schulze paces TSU with five assists. Defensively, Tarleton has conceded just six goals with six shutouts; goalkeeper Emma Barnes (0.36 GAA, .913 save pct., 8 GP) has anchored the unit, and Mikayla Kendall (1.06 GAA, 7 GP) has shared the workload.

Utah Valley leads the all-time series 3–0–0, with all three previous meetings in Stephenville (6–1 in 2022; 3–0 in 2023; 5–2 in 2024). Thursday marks the programs' first matchup in Orem.
