OREM, Utah – Utah Valley women's basketball returns to action to open a three-game homestand this week against in-state rival Southern Utah on Thursday, Jan. 22. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. MT at the UCCU Center.

The Wolverines look to snap a three-game losing streak after falling 59-47 at UT Arlington on Saturday afternoon. Cambree Blackham matched a season high with 17 points and added three assists and two rebounds. Amanda Barcello chipped in 13 points in 38 minutes for UVU.
LAST TIME AGAINST SUU
Southern Utah defeated Utah Valley 76-68 on Jan. 8 but has since dropped its last three games. Ava Uhrich posted 20 points and 16 rebounds in the meeting and earned WAC Player of the Week honors. The Thunderbirds shot better than 50% from the field and went 11-for-19 from 3-point range. Sierra Chambers, Brooklyn Fely and Morgan Trigueiro each scored 12 points, all shooting 4-for-6 from deep.
Barcello led UVU with 21 points on 6-of-9 shooting and a perfect 7-for-7 effort at the free-throw line. Saige Gibb added 11 points, five rebounds and five steals. Utah Valley forced 16 turnovers, with Naia Tanuvasa recording four steals in 13 minutes.
