LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley went 3-2 at the Bear Down Fiesta, picking up two wins over Creighton and taking down Drake. The Wolverines dropped contests to the host Arizona Wildcats and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

Britney Moreno extended her reached base streak to 9 games, going 8-for-16 with 2 HRs, 3 RBIs, and 6 runs scored out of the leadoff spot. Emma Haygood continued her impressive start to the season, going 5-for-14 with 2 HRs, 2 2Bs, 4 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. Haygood had the 42nd multi-HR game in program history against Drake, and is tied with Moreno for the team lead in HRs with 3. Haygood's .957 SLG% is tops in the WAC, and her .615 OBP is 3rd-best.

The Hall sisters came up in the clutch in Tucson. Peyton Hall went 6-for-14 with a HR, 3 2Bs, and 5 RBIs, while Tatum Hall went 3-for-8, including a grand slam in Saturday's comeback win over Creighton.

Utah Valley continued its impressive start to the season defensively with just five errors in 10 games played. UVU's .980 fielding percentage leads the WAC and ranks 31st in the nation.

Against Drake, the Wolverines matched their single-game program record with 4 HRs, and came about a foot away from breaking that record when Peyton Hall hit a ball off the wall. Haygood had two and Hall and Moreno each had one.

Angelique Mann and Amber Rodriguez each rank t-25th in the nation and t-1st in the WAC in doubles to start the season with 5 apiece.

Among Utah Valley's 16 hitters that took at-bats last weekend, 14 of them reached base at least once over the course of the 5 games. Every batter that had at least 3 plate appearances reached base once.

THESE CHICKS DIG THE LONG BALL
Through 10 games, Utah Valley has matched its program record for home runs to start the season with 12 (other: 2015). That total is the 2nd-best in the WAC behind only UTA's 14, and is 42nd in the nation. Six different players have hit at least one home run so far this season.

POINT THAT THING SOMEPLACE ELSE
Through the opening two weeks, Utah Valley ranks 9th in the nation in hit by pitches with 11. Senior catcher Mya Higareda has been the most-plunked Wolverine with four.

THE HITS START COMIN' AND THEY DON'T STOP COMIN'
Against Drake on Friday, Utah Valley rallied for nine runs to secure the 11-2 run-rule win in six innings, the team's most since rattling off nine at Utah Tech last season. Through 10 games, the Wolverines have had nine innings in which the team scored three or more runs.

UP NEXT
Utah Valley will play its first games in the state of Utah at the Beehive Classic in St. George next weekend at Utah Tech on Feb. 27-March 1. The Wolverines will play two games against Utah State and one apiece against Utah and Weber State.
