WOLVERINES HOST BISON ON SENIOR NIGHT FRIDAY
Utah Valley University hosts North Dakota State this Friday at 7 p.m. MST in Lockhart Arena. It's Senior Night for the Wolverines and the final Big 12 home dual of the season. Tickets are available at GoUVU.com/WREtix.

Prior to the dual, UVU will briefly honor 10 seniors due to graduate this spring or summer. Kasey Curtis, Haiden Drury, David Evans, Jack Forbes, Tanner Frothinger, Yusief Lillie, Tanner Lofthouse, Bridger Ricks, Christian Slack, and Mark Takara are the 10 who will be recognized.

Friday's competition begins a stretch of the final three scheduled Big 12 duals, with the Wolverines heading to Colorado next week for two duals to close out the conference regular season schedule. UVU will host No. 5 Nebraska on Feb. 21 in the UCCU Center in the final dual and tune-up before the Big 12 Championships on March 6-7.

SCHEDULE UPDATE
The dual scheduled at Oklahoma State for Jan. 25 that was postponed due to weather has been canceled and will not be made up.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines haven't competed as a team since Jan. 17 against then No. 19 Missouri. That weekend the Wolverines also faced then No. 10 South Dakota State in a close 19-16 dual loss to the Jacks. Against the Tigers, Missouri won seven of the 10 matches to win the dual 31-9 with Drury, Evans, and Forbes all winning both of their matches over the weekend for Utah Valley.

Last Saturday, Utah Valley had four wrestlers travel to Pennsylvania for the Edinboro Open, where Forbes and Jake Castagneto both earned second place, Ian Fritz took third, and Christian Smoot finished fifth. Both Castagneto and Fritz won four matches on the day.

ABOUT THE BISON
North Dakota State has four wrestlers ranked among its probable starters, setting up potential ranked matches at 125, 149, 184, and 197. The Bison are 6-7 in duals overall and 3-2 in the Big 12 with wins over California Baptist, Northern Colorado, and Air Force. UVU and NDSU have competing in the same conference dating back the Western Wrestling Conference, prior to both teams' entry as Big 12 affiliate members. The teams have met 18 times prior in duals, with the Bison winning 13. The Wolverines have won the last two meetings, including a close 24-19 dual last season in Fargo.
