BOSTON — Utah Valley redshirt sophomore forward Jackson Holcombe has been named a finalist for the 2025–26 Lou Henson Award, presented annually to the top mid-major player in Division I men's basketball.
Holcombe is one of the top players in the Western Athletic Conference this season and recently earned First Team All-WAC and WAC All-Defensive Team honors after leading the Wolverines on both ends of the floor. Through 31 games, Holcombe leads Utah Valley in scoring (15.6 ppg), rebounding (7.3 rpg), steals (71), blocks (41), and double-doubles (8) while ranking second on the team in assists (113).
Holcombe ranks among the national leaders in several statistical categories, including No. 13 in total steals and No. 14 in steals per game (2.29). He also ranks No. 72 nationally in field-goal percentage (.541) and No. 125 in rebounds per game (7.3), highlighting his impact as one of the most versatile players in mid-major college basketball.
Holcombe and the Wolverines will open postseason play tonight when top-seeded Utah Valley faces No. 4 UT Arlington in the semifinal round of the Air Force Reserve WAC Tournament.
