REGIONAL PREVIEW
Utah Valley will look to send athletes to Eugene for the second year in a row after a program-record five went to Nationals a season ago. Morgan Nokes is the highest-ranked Wolverine competing this week, ranking 10th in the West in the 10k and 16th in the 5k. Nokes will be joined by Reagan Doman and Ari Trimble in the 10k.

Utah Valley's men's 4x100 team will look to make a return trip to Eugene after earning second team All-America honors last year with a 10th place finish. Gavin Stafford and Kade Thompson return from last season's squad, with newcomers Garrett Nelson and Collin Petersen joining the fold. Caidan Cooper and Jonathan Pugmire are listed as the team's alternates.

Stafford and Thompson will both be competing in the 100-meter dash, with Thompson also running the 200-meter. Stafford won gold at the WAC Championships in the 100m with a wind-aided 10.01. His top wind-legal time is 10.15, which ranks 23rd in the West.

Nick Forsyth is Utah Valley's second-ever four-time regional qualifier, joining Trac Norris, who qualified in the steeplechase in 2010 and 2014-16. Forsyth took silver in the javelin at the WAC Championships with a throw of 61.34m and has a season-best mark of 64.32m, set at the Utah Tech Invitational. Forsyth is Utah Valley's school record-holder in the javelin at 65.91, set at the 2024 WAC Championships.

Ella Hopper makes her second-straight trip to Regionals in the 400mH after qualifying last year. Hopper advanced to the quarterfinals, but narrowly missed out on a trip to Eugene after posting a school-record time of 57.73. Hopper won gold at the WAC Championships with a time of 57.79.

Grace Degarimore is Utah Valley's first-ever thrower to qualify for regionals in multiple events after finishing the regular season ranking 32nd in the West in both the shot put (15.83m) and discus (52.95m). Degarimore won gold in both events at the WAC Championships, securing the discus title with a school record.

Caren Kipsirat and Cameron Jacobs will both make their regional debut in the steeplechase, an historically strong event for Utah Valley. Jacobs' appearance makes it the 11th time since 2010 there will be at least one Wolverine competing on the men's side, more than any other event. This will be the third-straight year a Wolverine competes in the women's steeplechase and fifth time overall.

The top 12 athletes from each event will advance to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., from June 10-13.
