ARLINGTON, Texas — Utah Valley senior shortstop Britney Moreno has been named the WAC Co-Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season, the league announced in a press release on Monday.

Moreno, a native of La Habra, Calif., went 10-for-17 with two home runs, two triples, one double, five RBIs, and eight runs scored across the Wolverines' four games. Moreno made history in multiple ways this week, breaking the program's single-season triples record on Tuesday against Utah. She followed that up on Friday with the first-ever cycle against a D-I opponent, capping it off with another triple in game one of the series against SUU. Moreno led off game two of the doubleheader with a home run, the 200th hit of her career, and with her two hits in Saturday's series finale, now needs three more hits to set the program's career hits record.

Moreno and the Wolverines will begin their WAC Tournament run on Wednesday against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. MDT, and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
