OREM, Utah — Utah Valley head coach Adam Hall has announced the official signings of Utah high school prep stars and South Dakota State transfers Marcus and Moses Espinoza-Owens.

The move marks the twins' return to Utah, where they each won three state titles for Viewmont High School before spending three seasons in Brookings, South Dakota with the Jackrabbits.

"I want to officially welcome Marcus and Moses Espinoza-Owens to our Wolverine family," said Hall. "They return to Utah with valuable experience, which they have already been enhancing our room with. Last year, Marcus was on the cusp of qualifying for the NCAA Tournament while Moses qualified and won two matches. They have a diligent work ethic, are already invested in those around them, and are good human beings, fitting well with our strong culture. They know they have stiff competition in our room but are excited about the opportunity to represent our program. Go Wolverines!"

Marcus has 50 wins over his first three seasons of collegiate competition, including 20 wins as a redshirt freshman in 2024-25 at 165 pounds. He placed sixth at the Big 12 Championships and the Cliff Keen Invitational this past season as the starter for the Jacks, finishing the season 15-12 and 6-5 in dual meets with 10 of his wins via bonus points. Marcus is also a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection and an NWCA Scholar All-American this past season.

Moses was an NCAA qualifier in 2025-26 at 174 pounds in his first season as the starter for SDSU. He finished 2-2 at the NCAA Championships after placing fifth at the Big 12 Championships in Tulsa. Moses was 29-10 overall and 15-2 in duals, wrestling every possible match for the Jackrabbits. He placed fourth at the Cliff Keen Invitational and was third at the Tiger Style Invitational. He's notched 56 wins so far in his collegiate career.

Both wrestlers notched close wins by decision in South Dakota State's dual in Orem last season. The Jacks, ranked No. 10 at the time, eked out a 19-16 dual win over the Wolverines last January in Lockhart Arena.
