SPOKANE, Wash.—Sydney Richards leads Utah Valley after the opening two rounds of the Kalispel Invitational, sitting in a tie for 19th place at 4-over-par 148 (72-76) Monday at Kalispel Golf and Country Club.

Utah Valley is tied for ninth on the 14-team leaderboard at 23-over-par 599 (294-305). The Wolverines opened with a 6-over-par 294 before carding a 17-over-par 305 in the second round. Boise State leads the field at 1-under-par, followed by Fresno State at 11-over and Grand Canyon at 14-over.

Richards opened the tournament with an even-par 72, recording four birdies, including three on the front nine. She followed with a 4-over-par 76 in the second round and enters Tuesday's final round six shots off the individual lead.

Adley Nelson is one shot behind Richards in a tie for 23rd at 5-over-par 149 (73-76). Nelson carded a 1-over-par 73 in the opening round before shooting a 4-over-par 76 in round two. Her second round featured four birdies, including three over a five-hole stretch on the back nine.

Rachel Lillywhite is tied for 30th at 6-over-par 150 (72-78). Lillywhite matched Richards with an even-par 72 in the first round, highlighted by five birdies, before recording a 6-over-par 78 in round two.

Maria Ortiz sits in a tie for 40th at 8-over-par 152 (77-75). After opening with a 5-over-par 77, Ortiz improved by two shots in the second round with a 3-over-par 75. Her second-round score included a pair of birdies on the back nine.

Mia Pace rounds out the Utah Valley lineup in a tie for 62nd at 12-over-par 156 (77-79). Pace shot a 5-over-par 77 in round one before carding a 7-over-par 79 in the second round.

Competing as an individual, Kaylee Westfall is tied for 66th at 15-over-par 159 (79-80).

Sacramento State's Emilia Schneider and Fresno State's Ariya Soldwisch share the individual lead at 2-under-par through 36 holes. Schneider shot rounds of 69 and 73, while Soldwisch carded rounds of 73 and 69.

The Wolverines will close out the Kalispel Invitational with Tuesday's final round at Kalispel Golf and Country Club. The final round is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. PT.
