OREM—Utah Valley men's golf continues its fall schedule this week at the 16th annual Mark Simpson-Colorado Invitational, Sept. 29-30, at Boulder Country Club in Boulder, Colorado.

The Wolverines return to Colorado for their third tournament of the season after competing last week at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in Colorado Springs. Ty Brady led Utah Valley with a tied-for-21st finish at 1-under-par, while George Goff tied for 12th in the separate individual competition.

UPCOMING

Utah Valley will compete in the 17-team Mark Simpson-Colorado Invitational hosted by Colorado. The two-day, 54-hole tournament begins Tuesday with 36 holes before Wednesday's final round.

The field includes host Colorado, Air Force, Arkansas State, Boise State, Colorado State, Denver, Kansas City, Long Beach State, Nevada, Northern Colorado, Pacific, San Diego, UTEP, Utah, Utah State, Utah Valley and Wyoming.

QUOTING COACH CHRIS CURRAN

"The golf course has been renovated a bit since we were here last," Utah Valley head coach Chris Curran said. "The course is currently playing firm and fast, so we are going to have to be precise with our iron shots. This group is extremely talented. We just need to find a bit of consistency."

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The Mark Simpson-Colorado Invitational features five-player lineups with the four lowest scores counting toward the team total each round. The Wolverines will play 36 continuous holes Tuesday with an 8:15 a.m. MT shotgun start before Wednesday's final round begins with staggered tee times at 7:30 a.m. MT off Nos. 1 and 10.

The Mark Simpson Invitational is named in honor of former Colorado head coach Mark Simpson, who led the Buffaloes for 29 seasons from 1977-2005.
