HONOLULU—Utah Valley freshman goalkeeper Madeleine Boucher was named MVP of the OUTRIGGER No Ka Oi, while five Wolverines earned spots on the All-Tournament Team after UVU claimed the tournament title with a perfect 2-0 record in Hawai'i.

Joining Boucher on the All-Tournament Team were Kate Booth, Ashley Garcia, Nixan Jackson and Mia Owens.

Utah Valley captured the tournament championship with back-to-back shutouts, defeating Washington State 1-0 on Thursday before closing out the event with a 4-0 victory over New Mexico State on Sunday. The Wolverines outscored their two opponents 5-0 and held a 40-11 advantage in shots, including a 15-6 edge in shots on goal.

Boucher was outstanding in goal throughout the tournament, playing all 180 minutes without allowing a goal. The freshman made four saves in the shutout win over Washington State and added two more against New Mexico State, finishing the weekend with six saves, two clean sheets and a 1.000 save percentage.

Booth delivered the game winner against Washington State, scoring in the 89th minute to break a scoreless tie and give the Wolverines a 1-0 victory. The senior forward finished the tournament with one goal, five shots and two shots on goal.

Jackson recorded three points during the tournament with one goal and one assist. She assisted on Booth's game-winning goal against Washington State before scoring the opening goal in the eighth minute of UVU's 4-0 victory over New Mexico State.

Garcia also totaled three points with a goal and an assist. She assisted on Jackson's opening goal against New Mexico State before scoring UVU's third goal of the match in the 79th minute. Garcia finished the weekend with three shots, all three on goal.

Owens anchored a Utah Valley back line that did not concede a goal during the tournament. The senior defender played all 180 minutes as the Wolverines limited Washington State and New Mexico State to just 11 combined shots and six shots on goal.

The OUTRIGGER No Ka Oi All-Tournament Team also included Hawai'i's Anuhea Aluli, Pana'ewa Cayetano, Jas Cayetano and Montana Longcrier; Washington State's Riley Carolan and Ashlyn Dvorak; and New Mexico State's Kennedy Herrera.

Utah Valley, which has now won three straight matches, returns to Orem to host San Diego State on Saturday night at UCCU Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
