JUNIOR (2024-25)
Played and started all 34 games for Utah Valley, helping the team to an outright WAC regular season championship and a national postseason tournament appearance in the NIT ... averaged 14.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game ... named the WAC Player of the Year ... earned First Team All-WAC honors ... was a finalist for the Riley Wallace Award, which is presented to the most impactful transfer in Division I ... also named a finalist for the Lou Henson Award, which is presented annually to the top mid-major player in Division I ... named WAC Player of the Week three times (Jan. 27, March 3, March 9) ...  had an ability to get to the line and convert as he ranked 13th nationally in free throw attempts (237) and 27th in free throws made (163) ... Nelson's ability to step up in big moments was evident in UVU's late-season push, including matching a season-high 25-points at Tarleton State (March 8), where he went 13-of-16 from the free-throw line to help secure the outright WAC title ... also had seven games with 20 or more points ... also scored 25 points in wins at UT Arlington (Jan. 16) and at California Baptist (Jan. 23) ... scored 15 points with a season-high nine rebounds in a 77-75 win at Murray State (Nov. 22).

BEFORE UTAH VALLEY
Nelson played the last two seasons (2022-24) at Polk State College in Winterhaven, Florida where he earned First Team All-Citrus Conference honors ... nearly reached the 1,000-point mark in his two seasons with the Eagles ... averaged 20.1 points per game during the 2023-24 season, the highest average for a Polk State player in seven years ... scored in double figures in 27 of the 28 games he played last season, including a career-best 33 points against Indian River State on Feb. 28 ... shot 45% from the field and 74% from the free throw line ... also averaged 1.7 steals per game. 
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Liberty Heights Athletic Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina ... led LHAI to a 30-plus win season and a Big Shots national championship in 2022.
