Played in 25 games for the Wolverines ... averaged 2.2 points and 1.3 rebounds coming off the bench ... ranked third on the team in field-goal percentage (48.8) had a season-high 9 points and 5 rebounds in helping Utah Valley beat UTSA 75-71(Dec. 3) ... had 6 points and a season-high 9 rebounds in a win over Benedictine 86-52 (Nov. 19) ... was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field, including 2-for-2 from beyond the arc at CSU Bakersfield (Jan. 21) ... earned Academic All-WAC honors. 

BEFORE UTAH VALLEY
Tahvanainen spent the last four years playing at the Helsinki Basketball Academy-Marksy where he was coached by former Utah Ute and Atlanta Hawk Hanno Möttölä ... averaged 12.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game this past season at the HBA-Marksy ... also connected on 44.0 percent of his shots from the field, 34.0 percent from beyond the arc and 89.0 percent from the charity stripe ... HBA-Marksy was the only high school team to compete in the second division league in Finland ... was the captain of the under-20 Finland national team, which also features University of Arizona signee Lauri Markkanen and Stephen F. Austin signee Samuli Sieminen ...  competed with the U-20 Finland national team at the FIBA U-20 European championship this past July in Helsinki, Finland.
