REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2019-2020)
Played in and started all 30 games for the Wolverines during his debut season with the Wolverines ... earned WAC All-Newcomer team honors this past season after averaging 12.8 points, 3.0 assists, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game ... became just the fourth player in UVU history to earn a spot on the all-newcomer team ... ranked seventh in the WAC in assists (89), seventh in field goals made (143), tied for seventh in assists per game (3.0), eighth in points (385), ninth in free throw percentage (81.6), 11th in points per game (12.8), and 11th in field goal percentage (45.8) ... scored a career-high 23 points in a 92-80 win over Grand Canyon (Feb. 22), helping the Wolverines complete the series sweep over GCU for the first time since 2014 ... scored 10 or more points in 20 of his 30 games on the season ... scored 16 points on a 7-of-12 mark from the field to lead UVU to an impressive road win at North Dakota State, the Bison's only loss of the season at home ... scored a team-high 20 points to lead UVU to a 72-58 win over CSU Bakersfield (Feb. 20) ... knocked down a season-best 5-of-6 shots from long range in the win over CSUB.

BEFORE UTAH VALLEY
Averette spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Oklahoma State where he played in 69 games over his two seasons with the Cowboys ... played in 36 games and made six starts for OSU during the 2017-18 season, leading the Cowboys in total assists (104) and assists per game (2.9). He also averaged 19.9 minutes, 6.3 points, 2.9 assists, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.6 steals per game during the 2017-18 season ... connected on a 41 percent clip from the field and a 75 percent mark at the free throw line ... scored 20 or more points twice and put up 10 or more points in nine games for the Cowboys this past season ... scored a career-high 22 points against Kansas State on Jan. 10, knocking down 8-of-11 shots from the field against the Wildcats ... threw down a monstrous slam-dunk against Charlotte that earned him the No. 3 spot on ESPN's SportsCenter's Top-10 plays.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Richardson High School where he led all DFW area 6A players in scoring in 2016 with an average of 22.6 points per game ... was a two-time District 10-6A Most Valuable Player and a two-time All-Region selection by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) ... MaxPreps ranked Averette as the No. 17 player in the state of Texas, while 247Sports tabbed him as the No. 20 recruit in the Lone Star State ... helped RHS to an impressive 27-7 record during his senior season ... also earned All-Area second team honors from the Dallas Morning News.
