Summary of Essential Job Functions
Serve as a consistent presence at assigned team and award events and games to accurately share the Utah Valley University story in compelling design form
As assigned, develop and execute, from conception to production, a wide array of publicity, promotional, communication, and marketing materials utilizing a variety of print and graphic design
Deliver content that uniquely and creatively engages audiences to drive ticket sales and event attendance at UVU athletics
Assist with the production of content for in-venue video boards
Continuously assess marketing strategies and apply industry practices for creative design while staying up-to-date on industry trends and ensuring that UVU remains at the forefront of the digital media landscape
Perform other marketing and promotions related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom (knowledge of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and InDesign)
Good interpersonal skills, judgement, and diplomacy required to interact effectively with and provide customer service to a broad audience
Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a collaborative team environment
Effective time management skills
Qualifications
Two or more years of work experience in sports design
Must be able to attend Mandatory Staff Meeting every Monday & Wednesday from 9:00am – 9:50am
Office hours will be scheduled during regular business hours (8am – 6pm) and will be set by direct supervisor
Work on weekends, evenings, holidays, and flexible shifts
Work indoors and outdoors (hot temperature, cold temperature, wind, rain, snow, shine)
Physical Requirements
Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
Frequently stand/walk, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, and reach/work above shoulders
Occasionally sit, twist/bend/stoop/squat
Visual acuity including color vision

Summary of Essential Job Functions
Manage assigned sport’s day-to-day social media presence across assigned social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
Assist in the planning of social media content calendar and develop or collaborate with Creative teams to create unique copy and visual content, including videos, graphics, and more
Use assigned social media channels to increase brand recognition, improve value perception, drive ticket sales, engage fans, promote events, and highlight student athletes
Evolve UVU Athletics’ voice for each social media channel in a way that is innovative and engaging, while remaining consistent with the brand’s vision and UVU standards
Provide event support at assigned events through live social media coverage
Grow assigned social media channel’s following and online community
Act as vital customer service arm by responding to patron’s comments via social media channels in a timely manner and with the correct information
Monitor and analyze social media analytics to guide strategy and best practices

Summary of Essential Job Functions
Coordinate aspects of Utah Valley University Athletics game day experience, including set up of elements involved in game day set up/take down and fan experience (promotions, contests, partner fulfillment, etc.), and operation of game day equipment (lights, audio, video, grip, etc.)
Assist in the establishment of relationships within the community with key groups such as youth sport leagues, schools, scouts, and churches to promote group outing opportunities
Assist in surveying the community and campus to gain insight of how to more effectively market athletic events, build the game day fan experience, and to more fully understand the University demographic

Make appearances at UVU sporting events, UVU campus events, and community events as both a Team Willy Handler or as a Team Willy Mascot Performer
