Jimmy Henry-Dempster enters his fifth season as a video coordinator for the Utah Valley men’s basketball program.
Henry-Dempster manages game and practice film for the UVU coaches and players. During his time at UVU, the Wolverines have reached new heights, making a CBI Final Four run in 2017 and winning a school-record 25 games during the 2018-19 season.
Prior to his time at UVU, Henry-Dempster served as an assistant coach at Highland, Taylorsville, Timpanogos, and Tustin (California) high schools from 2008-2015.
Prior to coaching high school basketball, he was a student manager for the BYU men’s basketball program from 2001-02 and 2004-2008. He helped the Cougars win back-to-back Mountain West Conference championships and two NCAA tournament appearances.
Henry-Demptser earned a bachelor’s degree in spanish with a minor in coaching from BYU in 2008. He went on to earn his master’s degree in athletic administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2012.
He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ribeirao Preto Brazil form 2002-2004.
The Houston, Texas native is married to his wife Alicia and they have three children; Dru, Andie and Evie.
