Played in all 34 games for Utah Valley, starting 28 ... led the team in rebounds (9.2), offensive rebounds (3.4), defensive rebounds (5.8) and blocks (1.6) ... ranked second on the team in field goals made (128) and field goal percentage (57.1 percent) ... ranked third three point percentage (34.6 percent) ... averaged 9.6 points per game in 21.8 minutes per game ... ranks second in school history for a single season in total rebounds (310), offensive rebounds (114) and blocks (54) and third in school history in rebounds per game (9.1), and defensive rebounds (196) ... ranked in the top 20 in the country in both offensive and defensive rebounding percentage... played an important part in the Wolverines' emphatic win over rival BYU (Nov. 26), finishing the game with 26 points on 10-for-12 shooting from the field, including a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the arc, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks ... had a massive game at Utah (Dec. 6), finishing with a season high 28 points on 13-for-20 shooting and 15 rebounds ... had another double double against in-state foe Utah State (Dec. 10), racking up 16 points and 14 rebounds ... turned in another double double with 14 points and a season high 16 rebounds against Grand Canyon (Jan. 7) ... had 13 rebounds and a season high 6 blocks against Chicago State (Jan. 12) ... came off the bench to put up 16 rebounds in 22 minutes in the WAC ournament semifinals against Cal State Bakersfield (March 10) ... in the CBI Semifinal game  against Wyoming (March 22), piled up a double double with 15 points on a near perfect 5-for-6 from the field, including making his only three point shot attempt and all four of his free throws, and 12 rebounds ...  finished with 10 double doubles on the season ... had 16 games with at least 10 rebounds ... had 14 games scoring in double figures ... named to the All-WAC Defensive team ... named to the NABC Honors court ... named Academic All-WAC ... named WAC Player of the Week (Nov. 21-28) after avereraging 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2 blocks per game.

REDSHIRT (2015-16)
Sat out season due to NCAA transfer rules.

BEFORE UTAH VALLEY
Played one season at Brigham Young University ... played in 34 games and made five starts during his freshman season ... averaged 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game for the Cougars ... scored in double digits four times, including a career-high 15-point performance in a win at Weber State.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Mission Viejo High School where he helped the team to a 29-3 record his senior season ... averaged 15.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per game his senior season, and was named to the MaxPreps All-State Division II Second Team, All-CIF Southern Section Team Division 2AA and the Orange County Register All-County Team.

PERSONAL
Born Dec. 18, 1992 ... parents are James and Janice Neilson ... has five siblings, including Desiree, Skylar, Cameron, Joshua and Hannah ... served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Alabama before redshirting the 2013-14 season at BYU.
