Troyce Solley

Troyce Solley, MS, ATC, LAT arrived at UVU in September of 2023 with the primary responsibility of Men’s Basketball in 2023. Solley spent the last 11 years at Campbell University in North Carolina with their basketball and golf programs, also serving as the Head Athletic Trainer for eight of those years. As the Head Athletic Trainer Solley supervised sports medicine services for 19 Olympic sports. Filled the role of primary liaison/coordinator between University Health Center staff, CU appointed Primary care sports medicine physician, physical therapy department, Olympic sports performance staff, non-university orthopedist, cardiologist and imaging centers.
 
Prior to joining the Campbell staff, Solley spent four years (2008-12) as an assistant athletic trainer at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas.  At SFA, Solley was responsible for the health care of the Lumberjacks men’s basketball, cheerleading, and dance squads.  In addition, he served as a mentor for the volleyball graduate assistant athletic trainer and an approved clinical instructor for the master’s entry-level athletic training education program.
  
A native of Bloomburg, Texas, Solley worked for two years (2006-08) as assistant athletic trainer at St. Edward’s University in Austin. At St. Edwards, he provided care for the men’s basketball, women’s soccer, cheerleading and tennis teams.
 
Solley earned his Master of Science in the Physiology of Exercise from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he spent two years as graduate assistant athletic trainer (2006-08).  At UTA, Solley was responsible for the track and field teams and coordinated coverage for numerous meets, including the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships in 2008.
 
During his undergraduate days at Texas State, Solley worked clinical experiences with numerous Division I Texas State athletics teams as well as a semester at Canyon High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in exercise and sports science with an athletic training emphasis in 2004.
 
Solley holds certifications and licensures from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Utah Department of Professional Licenses – Athletic Trainer, Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers, American Red Cross and American Heart Association. 
 
He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), Utah Athletic Trainers Association (UATA), College Athletic Trainers Society (CATS) and Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers Association (RMATA).
