Kaylee Wasco

Kaylee Wasco joined the Mental Health and Performance (MHAP) team with UVU athletics in January 2025. She is a fully licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) as well as a certified sport social worker.  Wasco uses therapeutic interventions and psychoeducation in team or individual settings to support sport performance and mental health needs of the student athletes. She works closely alongside Clint Norseth, the director of the MHAP team, and the two of them consult with coaches and interdisciplinary teams within the department to help foster well-rounded support.

Previously, Wasco worked with teens and families doing individual therapy, family therapy, resource management, and crisis work. Kaylee made the professional transition to working in athletics because she wanted to support athletes in a way she wished she had access to while playing Division I collegiate basketball. During her time playing ball at Binghamton University in New York, Wasco received her bachelor’s degree in human development and a master’s degree in public administration. She then went on to get her master’s in social work at the University of Michigan where she also worked as an academic mentor for student athletes.

Wasco is originally from Midland, Michigan, though has resided with her spouse in Utah since 2023. Wasco currently enjoys playing pickleball, going on picnics, reading, finding random activities to do in town, adoring her two cats (Penelope Garcia and Prince) and binge watching television series of various genres.
