Utah Valley softball standout Courtney Beavers will make the transition from the field to the dugout this season, as she'll join Coach Hubbard's 2017-18 staff as a student assistant.Â

SENIOR ~ (2017): Played and started in all 40 games at centerfield on the year for the Wolverines ... posted a .341 batting average (42-for-123) with a team-best 26 runs scored, a team-high 21 walks, four doubles, two triples and nine RBIs ... also finished second on the team with 13 stolen bases (13-for-15) ... led the team with a .449 on-base percentage ... also compiled a .407 slugging clip ... set a single-game school record in her first game in a Wolverine uniform by going a perfect 5-for-5 in the season opener against San Diego with three doubles, two runs scored and a stolen base ... also went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs scored, a triple, an RBI, a walk and a stolen base in a 9-1 win over UMKC ... registered a total of nine multi-hit games on the year ... recorded a total of 45 putouts, two assists and a .959 fielding percentage on the year.Â

Played her junior season at UNLV and both her freshman and sophomore years at Salt Lake CC ... during her junior year at UNLV (2016) she started in 29 of 44 games with 24 starts in the outfield and five as the designated player … tied for seventh in steals (12) and tied for ninth in steal attempts (13) in the Mountain West … had 17 hits, four RBI and 14 runs in 58 at-bats … recorded four multiple-hit games … scored the game-winning runs against South Dakota (Feb. 15), Robert Morris (Feb. 20) and New Mexico (Feb. 24) … went 4-5 in a doubleheader on March 20 at UC Riverside and against Loyola Marymount with two runs, an RBI and a double.
