Ronnie Ladines arrived at Utah Valley University in the fall of 2019 as an assistant coach for the softball program. She previously coached two seasons as a graduate assistant at the University of Akron where she received a master's degree in exercise physiology. As a player, Ladines was twice named to the All-Mid-American Conference first-team at Kent State University.

She was also a two-time NFCA All-Region selection, an eight-time MAC East Pitcher of the Week and a member of the MAC All-Freshman team in 2014. As a senior in 2017, Ladines finished with 20 wins and a 1.82 ERA in the circle, while also hitting .274 with 11 home runs and leading the Golden Flashes to a MAC Tournament title, earning MVP of the tournament, and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Ladines also played professionally in the inaugural season of the American Softball Assocation in 2018.

She earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Kent State in 2017. She is the daughter Kathryn and Curt Ladines. Her father played football at Washington State University while her brother, Isaac, played basketball at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
