Tiffany Fairbourne enters her third year as an assistant softball coach at Utah Valley State. She begins her coaching career after a very successful playing career. Fairbourne is one of the most decorated softball players in Utah Valley State history.
In 2000 she led the Wolverines to the school's only national championship. She was named first team All-Region 18 in her two years at Utah Valley and was NFCA third team All-American in 2001 and second team in 2000. She was also named first team NJCAA All-American in 2001 and second NJCAA All-American in 2000. Fairbourne was seleced to the NJCAA All-Star team that competed in the Canada Cup in 2000 and 2001.She was the Region 18 tournament MVP in 2001 and was named Utah Valley State's Female Athlete of the Year and Softball Player of the Year. She was also the team MVP her two years at Utah Valley State.
After her playing career at Utah Valley State, Fairbourne played her final two years at the University of Oklahoma. The Sooners advanced to the College World Series in her two years in Norman. In her junior year at Oklahoma she was third on the team with 66 assists and fourth in putouts with 147. Most of her playing time came at second base. Fairbourne received her Bachelors from Oklahoma in Sociology in 2003.
When not coaching softball, Fairbourne likes to camp, snowboard, fish, bowl and play miniature golf. She has two brothers that played college athletics. Cody played football at Dixie State and the University of Utah while Jesse played baseball at Utah Valley.
Fairbourne is married to Todd Fairbourne and they have a son named C.J. who was born December 14, 2004.
