PRIOR TO UTAH VALLEY …

Played RS-sophomore season at Salt Lake CC after spending two seasons at USU-Eastern … at SLCC, posted an impressive 1.336 OPS, ranking second on the team, picking up 12 HRs, 3 triples, 15 doubles, and 47 RBIs in 44 games played … at USUE, had 12 HRs and 52 RBIs in 59 games played, earning first team All-SWAC honors as a freshman … also played volleyball at USUE, earning SWAC POTW honors six times and NJCAA national POTW honors twice … was an all-conference selection both volleyball seasons after leading the SWAC in digs and digs per set.

HIGH SCHOOL …

Prepped at Grand County HS, where she was an all-state honoree in both softball and volleyball each year she played at the 2A level … played for her father, Brook, in softball.

PERSONAL …

Parents are Brook and Brandy Shumway … has three sisters, Tia, Jaci, and Hope … majoring in psychology … birthday is March 23.
