Adam Sanft is currently the Deputy Athletic Director for Internal Affairs at Utah Valley University, a role he took on in April of 2022. Sanft also oversees all athletics compliance efforts for UVU and rejoined the Wolverine staff in the summer of 2016, following two years as an Assistant AD for Compliance and Academic Services at Westminster College. Sanft manages the staff at Utah Valley and oversees compliance and eligibility efforts for all 16 varsity sports.
He also serves as the sport administrator for women's soccer and softball teams.
Sanft previously worked for the Wolverines as the Director of Compliance and Student Services from 2005-2008, where he directed all compliance and student services affairs for student-athletes, coaches, and staff. During that time, He also assisted in the NCAA certification and transition of UVSC Athletics from a junior college to full Division I status. In addition to compliance responsibilities, he oversaw academic advising and student services at UVSC.
Following his time at then-UVSC, Sanft worked for Brigham Young University where he served as a Compliance Coordinator from 2008-2014. He worked specifically with football and academic services, in addition to his day-to-day compliance duties.
In 2014, he joined the Westminster Griffins where he oversaw all compliance and academic services. Sanft again helped spearhead a college through the NCAA membership process as he ushered the Griffins through their transition from NAIA affiliation to NCAA Division II membership. While at Westminster College he implemented a robust compliance rules program from the ground up. Additionally, he served as the director for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and he has always found the most rewarding and joyful part of his job is interacting with and advocating for student-athletes.
He and his wife Kim have four sons, Dresden, Manaia, Ty, and Jozy.
