Kameron Dearing

Kameron Dearing is in his sixth year as an Assistant Athletic Director at Utah Valley University Athletics overseeing the Marketing department. He was previously the Director of Marketing and Promotions for three years, Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions for six months, and the Marketing Assistant for two years. In total, Dearing has spent eight years dedicated to marketing UVU Athletics. In addition to Assistant AD of Marketing, between October 2021 and July 2022, Dearing was the Assistant Athletic Director of Wolverine Club and Signature Events. 

During his time in marketing, Dearing continually set and broke records in ticket sales, social media, and attendance. He oversaw the creation and implementation of the rebranding of the student fan organization, The Den, which drastically increased student engagement and attendance at athletic events. He was responsible for the expansion of the Athletics Creative Services team, recruiting and developing a team of individuals talented in photography, videography, design, and digital marketing. He has developed relationships with key campus and community stakeholders through his collaborative spirit and innovative mindset. 

During his time in development, Dearing oversaw the stewardship of many of the Wolverine Club members, overseeing the annual fund and coordinating Club events. He also played a key role in many capital projects, assisting with the planning, presentation creation, and various meetings to solicit donations from community partners. 

Dearing has been recognized for his efforts and initiatives focused on revenue generation and ticket sales, fan experience, social media and broadcasting, brand awareness, innovation and creativity, student-athlete experience, community outreach, and attendance with multiple national and international awards. The 20 awards presented include the 2024 NACMA (National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators) Unity Award, 13 (five Gold, three Silver, and five Bronze) NACMA (National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators) "Best Of" Awards, the 2022 CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) ChangeMaker Innovation Award, four (one 1st and three 3rd place Finishes) UPAA (University Photographers' Association of America) Publication Division Awards, the 2018 PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) Best of Show Golden Spike Award, and various awards presented by UVU and it's internal organizations.

Over the years, Dearing has been crucial in the development of talent among students and part-time employees, helping them further their careers at organizations such as Nike, Turner Sports, Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, REAL Salt Lake, Utah Royals, Fiesta Bowl, Duke Athletics, Utah Grizzlies, and many more. 

Dearing is a member of NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics), NACMA (National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators), NAADD (National Association of Athletic Development Directors), CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education), PACE (Professional Association of Campus Employees), and FullTime Filmmaker.

A native of Vernal, Utah, Dearing moved to Utah County in 2012 and currently resides in Eagle Mountain, Utah with his wife Maysen and daughters, Sage and Margot.
