Alyssa Christensen enters her eighth season with the Wolverines and her third as the Director of Operations for squad. She has helped the Wolverines to an impressive 37-20-5 conference record in the team's seven seasons in the WAC, including a pair of WAC Tournament championships and two appearances at the NCAA Tournament (2015 and 2017).

Christensen helped Utah Valley earn its sixth-straight appearance in the semifinals and third showing in the championship match of the WAC Tournament this past season. The 2019 Wolverines had the best RPI ranking in the WAC after playing one of the most difficult non-conference schedules in the nation. The Wolverines played three teams that finished with a top-15 or better national ranking during the 2019 season.
 
In 2019, Christensen helped the Wolverines to an impressive 8-1-1 record at home.  UVU held the ninth-best attendance in the country last season, bringing in an average of 1,319 fans per game. UVU broke the school record for attendance in 2019 with 13,189 fans. The team also broke the single game attendance record at Clyde Field against BYU with a school-record 3,952 fans. The game was the 12th highest attended game of the season in the entire nation.
 
Six Wolverines earned All-WAC honors last seson, including Amber Tripp (first team), Breanna DeWaal (first team), Hannah Bruce (first team), Jenna Shepherd (second team), Jocelyn Bybee (all-freshman), and Heather Stainbrook (all-freshman). Tripp also earned United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-Pacific Region team honors.
 
in 2019, UVU had an impressive 14 players earn academic all-WAC honors in 2019, including Bruce who also earned all-district academic honors and USC Division I Women’s Scholar All-West Region honors. Bruce was a finalist for a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford and signed a professional contract with the Puerto Rico Sol.

In 2018, the team made its sixth-straight appearances in the semifinals of the WAC Tournament. The team also picked up three wins at home during WAC play, including one of the most memorable victories in the history of Clyde Field as UVU defeated Chicago State, 6-0, in front of a school-record 3,211 fans at Clyde Field.

In 2017, Christensen helped Utah Valley to its fourth-straight 10-plus win season, compiling a 10-12-1 record in 2017. The team won its second WAC Tournament title with Christensen on the staff and earned the WAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where it took on top-ranked Stanford.

In 2016, UVU compiled a 10-8-2 record and wrapped up the season with a run to the semifinals of the WAC Tournament in Kansas City.

In 2015, Christensen was a part of history as the Wolverines enjoyed their best season in school history, winning a school-record 14 matches. Anderson led the Wolverines to the WAC Tournament championship match where UVU snapped Seattle U's NCAA-leading 13-match unbeaten streak to claim UVU's first-ever WAC Tournament title and its first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.

In 2014, the Wolverines won a then school-record 13 matches. The 2014 Wolverines also tallied a school-record nine shutouts and won their first-ever WAC Tournament game.

The fourth-year coach joined Utah Valley after spending a year as an assistant coach for her alma mater, Utah State. While at USU, she helped lead the Aggies to a 13-3-6 record, a share of the Western Athletic Conference title, and its second consecutive berth in the NCAA tournament.

A native of Draper, Utah, Christensen was a standout defender for USU from 2005-08 and started every match from her sophomore season on. She was a team captain both her junior and senior years and was instrumental in helping the Aggies claim the regular season WAC title in 2008.

Christensen collected second team All-WAC honors during her senior campaign. She was also an all-conference performer in the classroom, earning academic all-conference honors in 2007 and 2008 as well as a selection to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-West Scholar team.

After earning her master's degree in 2012, Christensen returned to USU to join the coaching staff under head coach Heather Cairns. With her strong background in defensive tactics, she helped the Aggies lead the WAC in goals allowed at just 0.59 goals per match. Christensen's other responsibilities while in Logan included training organization and strategy implementation, game day operations, travel arrangement, and recruiting.

She holds a bachelor's degree in communications as well as a master's degree in health and human movement. Her husband, Kyle Christensen, played soccer at the University of Denver in 2003-04 and '07-08 and hails from Layton, Utah. Alyssa and Kyle have two children, Benson Kyle (3) and Holland (1).
