Melanie Perkins begins her first season on the Utah Valley women's soccer staff.
 
"We are very excited to welcome Mel onto the staff," said Lemay. "She has been in the department and knows the ins and outs of UVU athletics. It is very cool to add another alum to the program. Mel is a massive supporter of our team and I am confident that she will be a great director of operations and mentor for our players."
 
Perkins has been working as the camps and events coordinator for the UVU athletic department for the past three years. She spent four seasons (2013-2016) as a defender at Utah Valley, playing in 70 matches with 60 starts. She helped lead UVU to its first-ever WAC tournament championship and first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2015.
