Jade Rauser will enter his second season on Coach Greg Williams' staff in 2020-21 as the program's Director of Operations.
Rauser, who wrestled for the Wolverines from 2011-16, capped his stellar collegiate career by earning All-American honors at the 2016 NCAA Wrestling Championships at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Rauser also became the program’s first four-time NCAA qualifier after advancing to the NCAA Championships in all four years of his standout career at Utah Valley (2012-13 at 125, 2013-14 at 125, 2014-15 at 133, 2015-16 at 133). He also recorded a trio of 20-win seasons and finished his career ranked fifth in the Utah Valley record books in victories after compiling a 77-29 collegiate career record.
Rauser also earned all-conference honors twice during his impressive career, as well as a conference championship in 2015 after winning the 133-pound title at the NCAA West Regional/Western Wrestling Conference Championships. During his impressive 2016 run at the NCAA Championships, Rauser managed to overcome a first-round loss by reeling off four consecutive elimination-match victories en route to securing All-America status. He capped the remarkable run by overcoming a 5-0 deficit in the Round of 12 on his way to upsetting No. 6 George DiCamillo of Virginia, 8-6, to secure a spot on the podium with an eighth-place finish.
Rauser, who is a native of Townsend, Montana, and a four-time state champion at Broadwater High School, graduated from UVU in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science with an emphasis in psychology. Upon graduation, Rauser was hired by USA Wrestling Utah as a youth development coach. The four-time NCAA qualifier has worked in that position with USA Wrestling Utah for the past three years.
