Richard Bogdan joined Utah Valley University Athletics at the start of the Spring 2017 semester as the Compliance Coordinator. In May 2019, he was promoted to the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. Prior to coming to UVU, Richard was practicing law in northwest Indiana.
 
A U.S. Navy veteran and native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Richard earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in December 2009. In May 2014, he graduated from Valparaiso University Law School with Honors and the following year received his Master of Science in Sports Administration from Valparaiso University. While at Valparaiso, Richard was a member of their Sports Law Clinic during the 2013-14 academic year, and an Athletics Compliance Intern during the 2014-15 academic year.
