Zach Chisholm

  • Title
    Assistant Coach, Women's Golf

Zach Chisholm enters his first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Utah Valley women’s golf program, bringing more than 14 years of golf coaching and player development experience to the Wolverines.

In his role at Utah Valley, Chisholm focuses on player development and performance. He also serves as the Director of Instruction at Tee Box Spanish Fork, where he works with golfers ranging from developing juniors and collegiate players to accomplished amateurs and competitive athletes.

Chisholm has built his coaching career around developing the complete golfer through technical instruction, physical performance, technology, equipment optimization and competitive preparation. His experience working with players at multiple levels has helped shape an individualized approach designed to help each athlete maximize their potential.

He also brings professional golf experience after working on the Web.com Tour as an Assistant Tournament Director, where he gained firsthand exposure to the preparation, practice habits, competitive environment and performance demands of professional golf.

A PGA Certified Professional and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified coach, Chisholm combines traditional golf instruction with modern performance principles. His coaching incorporates TrackMan launch-monitor technology, video analysis, movement assessment, equipment optimization and on-course performance to develop individualized plans for each player.

Chisholm’s player-development philosophy centers on understanding the individual athlete rather than simply teaching the golf swing. His approach focuses on four principles: developing the athlete, developing the skill, using data to guide decisions and transferring those skills to competition.

Chisholm is currently pursuing a degree in psychology at Utah Valley University with the goal of becoming a clinical sports psychologist.

He and his wife, Kiara, have two daughters, Gigi and Izzy. Outside of coaching, Chisholm enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, staying active and continuing to compete and improve within the game.
