OREM - Terin Ledall and her 16 kills led a University of Northern Colorado attack that overwhelmed Utah Valley State 30-21, 30-20, 30-21, Friday night on the Wolverines home floor.
Ledall had eight of her match-high 16 kills in the first game in which the Bears outhit UVSC .333 to .184 and set the tone for the enitre match.
Northern Colorado (17-2) extended its winning steak to 11, and has not dropped a set during the streak. The Bears have won 33 straight sets. Fifteen of the Bears 17 wins have been of the straight-set variety.
UNC outhit UVSC .457 to .146 in game two, and .262 to .140 in game three. Overall, the Bears hit .345 on the night with UVSC (3-8) hitting just .156.
Amanda Wiggins (13) and Danelle Angus (11) joined Ledall with double-figure kills for Northern Colorado.
Kassidy Brotherson led UVSC with nine kills.
UVSC can put this match behind it quickly as the Wolverines host the University of Montana-Western on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. UVSC defeated Montana-Western in straight sets one week ago in Dillon, Montana.
