SALT LAKE CITY – Kassidy Brotherson hit .882 with 15 kills to lead Utah Valley State to a 30-19, 30-18, 30-18, win over Westminster in Wednesday volleyball action.
Brotherson's 15 kills on just 17 attack attempts with no hitting errors. Her 15 kills was high for the match and was the 15th time this season she has led UVSC in that category.

Led by Brotherson's 9 kills on 11 attempts, UVSC hit an impressive .469 as a team in the first set. The Wolverines committed only five errors on 32 attacks in the set.
UVSC hit .360 for the match. Malia Roberts was second for Utah Valley with 8 kills. She hit .286. On the night, nine different Wolverines recorded at least one kill.
UVSC was also strong defensively. The Wolverines limited Westminster to a -.046 hitting percentage for the match. The Griffins managed a positive hitting percentage in only the first set (.174).
Stacie Papanikolas led the Griffins with 6 kills. But she hit -.088 to get the six kills.
The win was UVSC's second straight-set win over the Griffins this year. Utah Valley improved to 10-13 on the season. Westminster dropped to 1-35.
UVSC concludes its inaugural NCAA season Tuesday, November 25, in Seattle, Washington, with a match at PAC-10 University of Washington. The match starts at 7:00 p.m.
