ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley State went 3-1 on Saturday at the Lone Star Duals. The Wolverines defeated Nebraska-Kearny, Harvard, and Missouri Baptist with their lone loss coming to No.19 Wisconsin.
 
UVSC opened against the No.3 ranked D-II team in the country, Nebraska-Kearny, and defeated the Lopers 24-19 on the strength of Erkin Tadzhimetov's (133) major decision, and Wayne Watts (157) and Ben Wiscombe's (174) wins by pin.
 
The Wolverines then defeated Harvard 22-20 with Tadzhimetov (133), Mitch Morgan (149), Ben Wiscombe (174), and Ivan Bigney (184) all picking up wins.
 
In its third match of the day, UVSC fell to the No.19 ranked D-I team, Wisconsin, 24-15. Watts (157), Wiscombe (174) and Billy Green (Hwt) were winners.
 
The Wolverines closed out the meet with a convincing 30-12 defeat of Missouri Baptist. The loss was only the Spartan's third this year in duals compared to 10 wins.
