What's on Tap:
The Utah Valley State volleyball team travels to Boise, Idaho to take on the Broncos of Boise State on Tuesday, September 6th. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 pm (MST).

The Wolverines (0-2) own a 2-0 overall series record over the Broncos, with a single win over BSU (1-1) each of the past two seasons.

Wolverine Update:
The Wolverines are coming off a couple of tough four game losses last week to Big-12 power, Kansas and Big Sky foe, Montana State.

Utah Valley State took the second game from KU (31-29) and the first game from MSU (30-22), but couldn't hold on in either match.

Middle blocker Jessica Endres leads the way offensively with 21 kills (2.62 k/g) and outside hitter Anne Olsen is just one kill shy of Endres with 20 and averages 2.50 k/g. Middle blocker Stephanie McFarland has made the most of her attack attempts tallying a .519 hitting percentage with 17 kills in 27 total attacks in the first two matches.

Scouting the Opposition:
Boise State: The Broncos come into Tuesday's match-up with a 1-1 overall record. BSU was swept by Wyoming on September 1st, and turned around the next night to defeat Northern Colorado in four games.

Leading the way offensively for the Broncos is senior outside hitter Telia Peterson. Over the past two matches she has recorded 26 kills (3.71 k/g). Peterson is complimented by junior middle blocker Cameron Flunder who has 22 kills (3.14 k/g) so far this season.

Last Time Out:
MSU (9-3-05): The Utah Valley State volleyball team looked like it was going to make quick work of Montana State after taking game one 30-22, but the Bobcats didn't back down taking the last three games of the match. Game one went the Wolverine's way as setter Lacee Koelliker dished out 13 assists evenly among the middles and outsides. Five Wolverines notched kills in the set, and Koelliker added three dumps herself. The Bobcats turned the tables in game two using a couple of 4-0 runs late in the set to overtake the Wolverine momentum, 30-23. Game three was back and forth throughout with MSU holding to 27-25 lead late. The Wolverines Brooke Adams kept Utah Valley close with four kills, but a 4-1 Bobcat run closed the Wolverines out 30-26.The Bobcats got going early in game four taking a 6-1 lead. A 7-1 run, and kills by freshman Camie Manwill and sophomore Jessica Endres charged the Wolverines and brought them to within four points. But that is as close as Utah Valley would get losing 30-21 in the end. Overall the Wolverine middle attack was solid as Endres and Stephanie McFarland notched double-figure kills. Endres finished with 12 and McFarland had 10. Adams also helped in the middle tallying five kills. Anne Olsen and Manwill were the other two Wolverines to finish with double-digit kills, finishing with 12 and 10, respectively. Both kill totals were career highs, and Koelliker finished with a season high 46 assists.

KU (9-1-05): Although Utah Valley State handed Kansas its first single-game loss of the year, the Jayhawks took the other three games, winning the match 3-1 at the Activity Center. Kansas took the match 30-20, 29-31, 30-19, 30-18. Utah Valley couldn't overcome long Kansas runs in each of the three games. In game one, Kansas jumped out to an early 12-4 lead before Camie Manwill ended a run with a hard kill. After the initial run, the Wolverines matched the Jayhawks throughout the rest of the game, losing 30-20. Utah Valley State fell behind 6-0 in game two before putting together an 8-2 run capped by another Manwill kill to tie the game 8-8. The Wolverines put together a string of blocks by Lacee Koelliker and Jessica Endres to match the Jayhawks throughout the match. Utah Valley took its first lead of the match, 27-26 on a Koelliker tap. Back-to-back errors gave the Wolverines the game-two victory. Throughout the final two games, the Wolverines played KU equally with the exception of twin 9-0 runs in games three and four that proved to be the difference in the match. In game three, Utah Valley was trailing 14-11 before the Jayhawks scored nine unanswered points. Game four saw similar results as Kansas stretched a 9-7 lead into an 18-7 with its decisive run. Endres led the Wolverines with nine kills on the match. Koelliker shined with six kills, a team-high four blocks and 33 assists while Manwill led Utah Valley with six digs.
