OREM, Utah - Utah Valley looks to extend its two-match win streak this week when Boise State comes to Orem on Thursday before the Wolverines travel to face Texas-Pan American on Saturday.
UV (14-6) has won nine out of 10 overall after winning two matches at CSU Bakersfield last weekend.
The Wolverines swept the Roadrunners on Friday night before winning in five on Saturday afternoon. The wins put UV a perfect 5-0 this season against D-I independent schools.
In Saturday's win, freshman Kayli Broadbent had a career-high (and Wolverine season-high) 26 kills and a .407 hitting percentage to lead the team. She also had three aces, one block-solo and six block-assists to total a Utah Valley season high 33.0 points (6.6 ppg).
On Tuesday, Broadbent was named the Division I Independent Offensive Player of the Week. Over the last 10 matches, Broadbent is averaging 4.14 kills per game and has upped her season average to 3.50 per game.
Junior Camie Manwill had a career-high 27 digs in Saturday's match to go along with 16 kills.
